The butterfly and insect species survey of the Frog Valley started now, showing up for the first time after 20 years of field investigation the green leaf imitating Mantis found on a coffee bush close to our field station. This is only one of some 15 Mantis species we could discover in the Cordillera Oriental rainforests. The leaf mantis laid its foam nest by now and we hope to raise the young with Drosophila to free them later in the forest.
